Since I have changed boxes and the problem has gone away, I am just going to chalk it up to old hardware that is dying.

(AMD K6-2, crappy SiS chipset, 128MB ram, 20GB HDD) Every so many days (it seems to be about 4-5 days) the static DHCP leases on my LAN "expire" and don't renew. I assume that's what is going on, because all I can tell is that my machines (they're all windows, unfortunately) timeout on `ipconfig /renew` and they have autoconfiguration (169.254.0.0/16) addresses. Is anybody else having a similar experience?
