Hi Vinod,

If you are familiar with a unix based system, be that linux or something else, 
you should have no issue getting around to develop.

The methods differ wildly though. I personally develop pretty much all of my 
code on the test box I have myself. I then create patches from that and commit 
that into my git repository.

It's a bit of a roundabout way of doing things, because I don't use a IDE 
myself. I only use nano on the pfSense box itself to code. Most of what I do is 
just PHP code. I don't really need to compile any binaries very often.

Our developer list is off limits until you actually go through the process of 
actively submitting patches. That is, when Scott gets fed up applying them he 
will most likely end up giving a commit bit.

You can check out the git repo from rcs.pfsense.org and clone a tree and work 
from that, you can either create patches or send merge requests from your tree.
