When my PPTP clients connect to the pfSense PPTP server, they are not being assigned the connection-specific DNS suffix as I would expect..

Local DHCP Client are properly assigned the value under 'domain' in 'general settings', but not when connecting via PPTP. Is that normal? In other words, is there a reason why it shouldn't be assigned?

I can work around the problem by MANUALLY adding it in the connection configuration for each client but that's a bit of work I'd prefer not to do, particularly if it's a simple configuration issue.

The end game we're trying to achieve is (perhaps obviously) to allow road-warriors to be able to connect to local resources by the hostname. In other words, if they're trying to connect to our local wiki , I'd prefer they be able to type
http://wiki
into their browser instead of
http://wiki.domain.tld
...not only for the sake of brevity, but so they don't have to wrap their heads around why it works ONE way when I'm in THIS place and ANOTHER way when I'm in THAT place.

Ideas?

Thanks
-Karl
