Hi,
I've got a pfsense 1.2.2 install and found a bug on it preventing reloading the
rules.
I don't know if it is fixed in most recent version as I can not try it yet.
Anyways, this bug occurs to me when there are 2 default routes on the machine -
One for IPv4, the other for IPv6.
The problem is in /etc/inc/pfsense-utils.inc line 3409.
The line:
return str_replace("\n", "", `/usr/bin/netstat -rn | /usr/bin/awk '/default/
{print $2}'`);
returns the 2 default routes concatenated one to the other. This gives
something like "192.168.2.12001:350:1f10:440::1" which obviously is non
parsable and stops the new rules from being loaded.
I temporarily fixed it by getting only the IPv4 default route (add "-f inet" to
the netstat options). That did the trick for me.
