FWIW, I used to sell a lot of HP ProCurve gear; the only switches of theirs I ever had to return were 1800-series switches (and _one_ 2524, IIRC). A very small proportion, to be sure, effectively zero warranty service rate compared to Cisco, but relatively speaking...
