AFAIK, mini-PCIe to regular PCIe adapters are OS-neutral, they appear as merely an additional PCIe bridge. So barring physical constraints, or some REALLY obscure compatibility problem, any miniPCI/miniPCIe cards that work, will work just as well in a carrier card.
