We know. And I'm very sorry this happened. http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/4062 http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/4066 http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/4103 I'm guessing you use Windows, there is a stop-gap fixed msn plugin available here: http://pidgin.im/~nosnilmot/2.3.0-msnfix/libmsn.dll To use it, take a backup copy of C:\Program Files\Pidgin\plugins\libmsn.dll and put the file from above in it's place. If you compiled from source on Linux, apply this patch and rebuild: http://pidgin.im/~nosnilmot/2.3.0-msnfix/pidgin-2.3.0-msn-allfixes.patch I hope we can release 2.3.1 soon including these fixes, but we also need to address some other issues too, and I don't know what's happening about these right now.
