As a bit of further information, if you could run a recent version of Psi
(on that has SASL support, either internally or through SASL) and get the
xml console data from that connection (which you said was successful in
your first email, though without a version so it might have been non-SASL
authentication, I think the SASL support in Psi is new-ish) that would be
very helpful.
