Do you have multiple identities grouped into one entry for any of them?
I find that I can't apparently change the Alias of a collapsed entry, I
need to expand it.
It's not very consistent though. I'm using 2.4.1 on Linux for
information, I haven't tried this with Pidgin on Windows.
