AFAIK, QQ protocol was always buggy in Pidgin. There were some patches
that fixed the problem that you described above, but it seems that QQ
protocol now has new login system that is causing trouble for Pidgin.
Assuming everything I just wrote is true, you can only keep your fingers
crossed and wait for new version of Pidgin.
