Using Ubuntu 8.04 with standard Pidgin 2.4.3, one account on Yahoo, one on XMPP.
Pidgin was working well up until now, but since mid last week, when double
clicking on a buddy (both true for Yahoo/XMPP), the Pidgin buddy windows always
freezes (turns gray) for around 4 minutes before the buddy communication window
comes up.
The chatting itself runs at normal speed. No error message when started from
terminal.
Hope this sounds familiar to you....
