Question #43378 on pidgin in ubuntu changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pidgin/+question/43378
Ben proposed the following answer: There's a 'workaround' with Innotek, install XP there and install Y Messenger in Virtualbox - works fine - but it's a sledgehammer to kill a mosquito! Pidgin doesn't have the functionality, and the linux Yahoo Messenger is hopelessly out of date. Isn't there a solution to this? isn't there a way to set up proxies or something? Someone help please! It's not very effective to use an incompatible software. Right now I'm running Yahoo messenger in Virtualbox - but that's a rather heavy way of doing it - and the desktop compositing is rather untidy with 'seamless' windows. -- You received this question notification because you are a member of Pidgin Support, which is an answer contact for pidgin in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Support mailing list [email protected] http://pidgin.im/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/support
