Thanks for the the earlier responses.
To recap "Read Error" with Pidgin 2.5.1 and Win XP SP3.
The following trace shows a auth error with with SASL.
Toward the end of the file
jabber: XML parser error for JabberStream 01819D78: Domain 1, code 5,
level 3: Extra content at the end of the document
The full output is below.
Can anyone venture a suggestion as to why it is going wrong?
All the unix versions of Pidgen have no problems only the Win stuff
