Question #49392 on pidgin in ubuntu changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pidgin/+question/49392
HyTeK proposed the following answer: I have been working with keno on this issue. After completely removing libpurple and pidgin from the system (via synaptic) and compiling pidgin 2.5.2 from source, pidgin is now able to open without seg faults. Unfortunately there was not an update to 2.5.2 yet in the repos, and forcing an earlier version (2.4.1) resulted in seg faults as well. Cheers. -- You received this question notification because you are a member of Pidgin Support, which is an answer contact for pidgin in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Support mailing list [email protected] http://pidgin.im/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/support
