You need to run 'ldconfig' as root. 'sudo ldconfig' is sufficient if sudo is installed and properly configured on your system. The fact that you have disabled GNUTLS and NSS means that Google Talk, Novell Groupwise, and MSN will not function. If you want one of those three services to work, you will need to rebuild Pidgin after installing the appropriate development packages on your system. John
