today I have presented how to chat with pidgin at my workplace. One open
question is whether it is possible to send a message to multiple
contacts at once.
As far as I have understood, this feature is not supported because it
might be abused by spammers.
Chatrooms would be another acceptable solution for us. Then we would
implement a chatroom where all of our users could join persistently. The
only problem with that is that you don't get notified when there is no
open window/tab for the chatroom.
Would it be possible to configure pidgin so that it reopens windows for
chatrooms when there is activity in the chatroom?
