I use AIM. The person I was sending music to was able to get a couple of the files, but not all. Not sure what he uses--Adium, on a Mac, but not sure what his protocol is. Bonjour? I couldn't get any of the files he sent me.
Also, I was able to send him pictures too. Would I have to use a different protocol (not AIM) to send files? If so, can you recommend a good one for PCs? -----Original Message----- From: ChO₂ [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, May 14, 2009 1:56 PM To: Jana Lloyd Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: transfering music files This is a protocol-specific issue. What protocol are you using? ICQ? AIM? MSN? XMPP/Jabber? (By the way, it shouldn't make a difference what kind of files you are sending. If you have problems with music files, all other kinds of files won't work either (but there are restrictions to file sizes on some protocols).) -------- Weitergeleitete Nachricht -------- Von: Jana Lloyd <[email protected]> An: [email protected] <[email protected]> Betreff: transfering music files Datum: Thu, 14 May 2009 10:42:19 -0600 Hello, I just added pidgin to my PC (Windows) and am trying to send and accept music files. Do you support this? When I try to get a music file I see a window that says the title of the song, but always says, “Waiting to begin transfer” and it never transfers. Thanks for your great product.
