You can configure one application to use a proxy and configure another to connect directly at the same time. In Pidgin, you can configure proxies per-account (but not per-application).
This means that you won't need to configure Pidgin in any special way if you want to use BitTorrent via Proxy. -------- Weitergeleitete Nachricht -------- Von: John Nightingale <[email protected]> An: [email protected] Betreff: setup proxy Datum: Mon, 25 May 2009 15:40:55 -0700 (PDT) Mailer: YahooMailRC/1277.43 YahooMailWebService/0.7.289.10 I have never used a proxy before but i need one as my ISP blocks my torrents. Terminolagy goes right over my head, I understand what proxies do but I haven't a clue whether I have a proxy and all the install instructions mean nothing to me, sorry to be so thick, I don't think I know how to configure Tor either and am equally perplexed. Thanks for your time.
