For the first time since I installed Pidgin I decided to utilize the privacy settings. I set it up so that only people on my buddy list can IM me, and for everyone not on it to be blocked. Yet I've been continuously receiving IMs from a person not on my list. And no matter which privacy settings I choose this person can still IM me.
