Thanks, Paul. That did the trick. I understand the SSL control, but I
don't understand the "clientLogin" control. What am I gaining or losing
by enabling / disabling the "clientLogin" control?

You should not. Just uncheck *either* "Use clientLogin" *or* "Use SSL" and
your AIM/ICQ accounts will work properly.
