Hi guys, Pidgin/Gaim has had it's fair share of exploits over the years, as anyone can see on Secunia's Vulnerability Advisories here: http://secunia.com/advisories/search/?search=pidgin http://secunia.com/advisories/search/?search=gaim
Are there any plans to implement an automatic update notification feature? The lack of one quite frankly puts Pidgin users unnecessarily at risk. For eg, i wouldn't have known the version i had installed contained vulnerabilities if not the for the fact i am on Secunia's Vulnerability list or if i wasn't a user of the Secunia Software Inspectors (which detect Windows software with known vulnerabilities - free for home users). But how many everyday users would be going to those lengths though? Regards, Liam _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list Want to unsubscribe?
