I think that the number you're seeing is the Resource (unique connection identifier for multiple simultaneous logins) that is assigned automatically by the server that you're connecting to. If you like, you can put a value in the "Resource" field of your account setup and that (or something based on that) should be used instead of the random value. -D > From: Daniel Atallah <[email protected]> > To: Claudia <[email protected]> > Cc: [email protected] > Sent: Tue, October 12, 2010 9:26:11 AM > Subject: Re: strange number popping up in status > > On Mon, Oct 11, 2010 at 23:08, Claudia <[email protected]> wrote: >> Wondering what the absurdly long number is that is in my status: >> >> "Status (3383737373739494949494949494949): Do not disturb" >> >> Any help appreciated. > > Which protocol (AIM/MSN/XMPP/Yahoo/etc.) and version of Pidgin are you > seeing this with? > > -D > >
