Yes I have, it doesn't work. Our partner does updates on the server regularly to deal with things like name changes and those do not flow through to us. Now they are changing the user ID format globally and using the push feature to update the clients.
We did a test today on the new infrastructure and it didn't auto-update at all. -=Victor=- -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David Woolley Sent: Thursday, January 13, 2011 11:47 PM To: Victor Reiner Cc: Pidgin Support List Subject: Re: get buddy list from Sametime server? - Email has different SMTP TO: and MIME TO: fields in the email addresses Victor Reiner wrote: > My company uses Pidgin to access a business partner's SameTime + system. + They just told me they are upgrading their infrastructure in 8 days and + the user IDs will be changing. Have you actually tried it? -- David Woolley Emails are not formal business letters, whatever businesses may want. RFC1855 says there should be an address here, but, in a world of spam, that is no longer good advice, as archive address hiding may not work. _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list Want to unsubscribe?
