Hi.

Would I be correct to assume that the glib dependencies for Pidgin have been
deliberately changed, (as opposed to someone accidentally building it on a
brand new machine with the latest Ubummer release installed), to GLib 2.16.0
or newer? As this results in users of Pidgin 2.7.11 with glib-1.2.10-28 (In
my case, Fedora 8) being nagged to death to upgrade, is there any chance of
a 2.7.11a version that will permit disabling the "new version" check or;
Where might I hack my source to accomplish the same thing?

Thanks

Why carry a gun?
Because the average response time to a 911 call is over 4 minutes.
The response time of a .44 magnum 240 gr bullet is 1542 ft/sec.
