Vegard Hammerseth spake unto us the following wisdom: > I have removed system finch and recompiled/installed the new one without > luck. > > I think it's worth mentioning that finch is installed as a regular user in > my homedir. > > How do I check which ncurse it use?
As my first email said use ldd. Run 'ldd `which finch`', and you will
get a ton of output. One of the lines will mention libncurses,
something like:
libncursesw.so.5 => /lib/libncursesw.so.5 (0xb7481000)
If it says libncurses, not libncursesw, that's likely your problem.
