I'm running Pidgin on ubuntu 12.04 and trying video chat with another Ubuntu box on local lan and with a local XMPP server (ejabberd2). Both camera are working fine. When I initiate a video call, I can see my local video image but I cant see the partner image (black square). Sound is working.

I've enabled the video plugin and set to Xv (Intel Textured Video) on both ends with the same result. I've look at the debug log but could not find any helpfull info.

Firewall is disabled on both machines.

This is the gstreamer packages installed:
gstreamer-tools
gstreamer0.10-alsa
gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg
gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3
gstreamer0.10-gconf
gstreamer0.10-nice
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-multiverse
gstreamer0.10-plugins-base
gstreamer0.10-plugins-base-apps
gstreamer0.10-plugins-good
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
gstreamer0.10-pulseaudio
gstreamer0.10-tools
gstreamer0.10-x

Any tips for me?

Claude
