Steam chat and Skype are both non-open, non-standard protocols. There is a plugin for Skype that states it should integrate the chat with Pidgin, though Skype has to be running in the background, and isn't officially supported. To my knowledge there isn't a plugin for Steam like there is for Xfire, but I could be wrong. Google chat should be pretty easy, there's even a protocol option for it in the accounts menu (https://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/Using%20Pidgin#HowdoIuseAIMMSNYahooGoogleTalkJabberXMPPICQoranyotherprotocol ). Facebook should work via XMPP (https://www.facebook.com/sitetour/chat.php ). -Michael |
