So, it appears at first glance that Facebook has changed things with the GraphQL queries for contacts. However, I still need to investigate this issue more to determine that for sure. Since the main query is fine, up to 500 contacts will be fetched. It is when more than 500 contacts need to be fetched that this issue is hit. Please follow the issue [1] for the protocol update.
