Apart from the standing recommendation always to use the latest version, there has been no such announcement for Pidgin. You need to contact the people within Oracle that deal with this.
The people on this public, peer support, mailing list, have no access to Oracle internal systems, but we have been told that people on Oracle's intranet can find more at <http://my.oracle.com/site/git/1591/index.htm>. We are having to redirect far too many Oracle employees there.
