Hello, I am using Pidgin with a Gmail account.
As per the docs, the XMPP communication should work as follows: https://developers.google.com/talk/jep_extensions/gmail Looking at the debug window while connecting to my Gmail, I see the following: (20:24:01) jabber: Recv (ssl)(604): <iq to="<account>@gmail.com/A60A6274" from="gmail.com" id="purplea8ce2d5f" type="result"><query xmlns="http://jabber.org/protocol/disco#info";><identity category="server" type="im" name="Google Talk"/><feature var="http://jabber.org/protocol/disco#info"/><feature var="google:jingleinfo"/><feature var="google:roster"/><feature var="google:nosave"/><feature var="google:setting"/><feature var="google:shared-status"/><feature var="http://jabber.org/protocol/archive#otr"/><feature var="google:queue"/><feature var="http://jabber.org/protocol/archive#save"/><feature var="google:mail:notify"/></query></iq> (20:24:01) jabber: Sending (ssl) (<account>@gmail.com/A60A6274): <iq type='get' id='purplea8ce2d62'><query xmlns='google:mail:notify'/></iq> (20:24:01) jabber: Recv (ssl)(73): <iq to="<account>@gmail.com/A60A6274" id="purplea8ce2d62" type="result"/> As you notice, support is advertised, request is correctly sent and an empty response is being received. This feature was working before, it seems it broke since updating Pidgin to 2.11.0 on Windows. Has anyone got the same difficulties and/or has a solution to this? --- Bernard
