Location: Minneapolis, MN Type: Contract *Job Classification: Web Developer * *Position Description: Experience Level: 10 or more years technical background and 6+ years directly related web experience. Description: Acts as the highest-level technical expert on the development and implementation of highly complex, large-scale internet and intranet applications on diverse platforms, crossing multiple business lines. Uses expert knowledge of web technologies, including C++, Java, Java Script, HTML, CGI, XML, Perl, ASP, multimedia applications, database modeling tools and/or database interactions. Evaluates systems specifications for client area web site requirements and determines and implements the most efficient and cost-effective software/package solution. Provides leadership in researching and tracking new web technologies, developing service applications, and analyzing business requirements as they pertain to web-based systems. Oversees system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policy and standards. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.* *Initial work for this role with focus on creating a number of highly complex reports to reflect the applications' adherence to service level agreements, operating level agreements and overall performance. This role will require deep knowledge of sql and Java to pull the data from multiple sources.* *After this initial work is completed, this resource will transition to developing web services within the applications. This web developer will be creating new web services in an existing web services framework. These new web services will be connected to multiple systems of records. Skill/Technologies -- Java based web services with an Axis SOAP Engine. -- Experience in a high available, high volume environment -- Oracle development skills. We're not looking for an Oracle Database Administrator but rather a developer who understands data layout, normalization, schema structure, stored procedures, creating of complex SQL queries/updates and similar skills.
