Job Title Business Intelligence Developer Job Description Description: This individual is responsible for architecting, building and delivering a BI offering for client’s Digital Marketing Science department. As a key member of the Digital Marketing Science team, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communications and development skills, leveraging his or her exceptional Microstrategy, data analysis, and ETL/Data warehousing skills to deliver creative, bleeding-edge solutions to our clients. Note: This is for a 3 month contract, but the goal is to convert this contractor to a full-time position. RESPONSIBILITIES: The ideal candidate will: • Design, develop, and administer the MicroStrategy environment and underlying data mart / data warehouse • Ad-Hoc reporting using SQL, ETL and Database Development • Logical data modeling • Process documentation • Train others in designing reports and dashboards, administration, and development REQUESTED SKILLS: The BI Developer needs a recent, proven track record with the following: • MicroStrategy development, modeling, and administration experience. • Data warehouse/Data Mart design experience • Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or related field. • Experience with ETL development. • Experience with online marketing business models is preferred. • MicroStrategy, ETL, or Database Certification(s) is a plus. • Experience with Oracle, PLSQL • Excellent reporting & dashboard development skills using MicroStrategy. • Thorough knowledge of SQL • Experience troubleshooting, optimizing and providing support of Data Warehouse/BI environment on MicroStrategy. • Knowledge and experience in ETL process architecture, design and implementation using tools, especially Datastage. • Experience with Analytics/Columnar databases • Hadoop is a plus. • Experience with and knowledge of multiple Data Warehouse/Data Mart architectures (including various MPP and SMP database systems). • Experience in Advanced Analytics is a plus. • DBA and operational experience is a plus.
