This is a very challenging assignment which requires working with systems level programming. Be a part of technically strong team. *Primary Responsibilities (including but not limited to):** ** *- Design, Development, Testing and Implementation of technically challenging high transaction internet based applications, Systems Level applications. - Design and develop market data applications. - Provide production support for market data platform. - Maintain and enhance existing market data application for various market data feed. - Support market data applications in implementing new vendor feeds. - Interface with product team to gather requirements. - This position is viewed as an expert in applications development - Undertake complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. - Make well-thought-out decisions on complex or ambiguous application development issues. - Coordinate with users to determine requirements. - Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. - Create complex prototypes. - Coding, testing, debugging, documenting and implementing complex software applications. - Establish and communicate common goal and direction for team. - Act as a source of direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff. - Monitor project schedules and costs. *Skills/Knowledge Required/Desired:** * - Technical Skills Required: C++, Java, OOD, Perl, Strong Linux/UNIX background, Strong Shell scripting, ESQL/DB (Sybase, Oracle) skills, Sockets, Roguewave, ClearCase, SVN, CVS, SourceSafe - Good knowledge and understanding of Service Oriented Architecture, Multithreaded Design *Experience Required/Desired:** ** *- 6-10 years of relevant hands on exp is required. - Real-time market data experience preferred - Exp in using tools such as SVN is required. - Exp in NYSE Wombat API's and Reuters systems API is preferred *Qualifications & Certifications:** ** *- BS Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent exp required. - Java Certification desired. *Other Requirements:** ** *- Must have Good/Excellent communication skills - Proof of your legal work authorization status & Two professional references from last two assignments / projects / employments will be required if you are short listed. - You will need to sign non-compete agreement if short listed. * * Thanks, Have a Great Day.
