Job Description: Distribution Internet Systems Senior Java J2EE Developer/Java Solution Architect Job Requirements The candidate must have 7+ years of experience in the field of Software Development as a Senior Java J2EE Developer/Java Solution Architect. The candidate must have IT experience leading large projects. Expertise in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a focus on * Software Architecture, * Object Oriented Programming, * Distributed Objects, * Designing & Prototyping, * Unit Testing, User Acceptance Testing, * Internet Development Standards and Guidelines * Artifact Creation. As a Senior Java J2EE Developer/Java Solution Architect, the candidate will need an expert understanding of J2EE full cycle development, Web Services and in depth experience with both WebSphere Application Server and Oracle WebLogic Portal. The candidate must have at least 5 plus years of experience in Oracle and/or SQL Server. Candidate will need to create and utilize patterns and frameworks as part of an overall software architecture blueprint, participating in business and technical meetings, and providing timely status updates to project leadership. The role requires the ability to identify and mitigate risks in process and technology, as well as supporting architectural and development guidelines and best practices. Responsibilities include mentoring others through project life cycle on both technology and process, and working closely with BA, SA and QA team members to understand requirements and design. Candidate must be able to research issues independently and solve problems. Taking a lead role providing technical solutions/directions to ensure systems/applications are highly available and meet service level agreements. Daily tasks include working with business clients, IT personnel and development staff to avoid communication gap and ensure customer/client satisfaction. Strategic thinking and experience with presenting to large audiences and to executives is a must.
