Please send suitable profiles along with rate, contact number, availability ASAP. *Java Developer - Rates Clearing* *Location: NYC* *Duration: 6 months* Team is looking for a mid level Java developer for a Front Office Technology environment. 5 years plus of server side development with Core Java, candidate must also have a bit of design in his background. Candidate must have a strong knowledge of XML and preferable come from a front office environment. Industry is required, rate exposure preferred but not a make or break. *Main Function* The successful candidate will be working in the Trade Capture and Workflow team which is a global development function, on the Clearing work-stream. The candidate is expected to build an in-depth knowledge of both the technical and business aspects of the system and become an expert in that stream as part of a small development team. They will need to interact with the wider TCW team and Rates Technology division to deliver complex systems within tight timescales, as well as sharing their expertise with the wider team. *Main Duties* - As well as project and maintenance development work, the developer will be involved in explaining functionality to the business and other system users for the Clearing stream. - Second line support is required for the parts of the system that are already in production which will involve direct interaction with traders. - The candidate will be expected to proactively improve their skills and take on greater responsibilities as their capabilities increase. There are significant opportunities for career development and training. *Person Requirements* - We require an ambitious and dynamic developer who thrives in a Front Office technology environment. The developer will have a good understanding of front to back trade flow and processing. The candidate will also be a strong hands-on Java developer who has taken part in system design. *Required:* 5+ years Java Development – in an enterprise context. Strong object-oriented design skills and server-side experience. Good working knowledge of XML Front Office exposure and experience of complex systems. Unit tests.
