*PHONE and FACE - TO - FACE Interviews are REQUIRED* ****
- *Minimum of 9+ years of experience* ****
- *Must have Financial Services experience - stock exchange, securities,
brokerage, etc.*****
Must have all the following:
A general understanding of databases, how they perform,
their architectures, similarities and differences
- Designing complex SQL queries involving multiple tables and join
conditions
- Using SQL analytics (including windowing functions) extensively
- Writing optimized queries for very large (like 20 billion
records) data objects
- *Working knowledge and/ or experience working with Netezza /
Greenplum is a plus*
- Understanding limitations of databases and working around the
problems
- Unix shell scripting and XML programming
- * Working knowledge of Perl/Java/Python is a plus*
- Identifying performance bottlenecks and coming up with
approaches to resolve the same
- General problem solving skills and applying them to break down
complex problem into simple steps
- Responsible for end-to-end development, including requirements
analysis, design, development, build, QC support, UAT support, Ops support
and Production support (when necessary)
Nice to have:
Hadoop/Amazon.com Cloud experience
