Java Application Integration Developer *****MUST BE LOCAL CANDIDATES

Location: NYC - Mid-town Manhattan.
Duration: 6 months +
Start date is immediately.
Job Description:
Client is looking for a skilled developer to help build the next generation
integration platform for their eCommerce websites. This position requires a
strong computer science and/or engineering background with a demonstrated
understanding of the fundamentals of Java, databases and web services.
*Requirements:*
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or
related field.
- More than 3 years professional experience programming
- Fluent in Java development language
- Experience developing web services, and using XML
- Familiar with JMS and JDBC
- Very familiar with Java collections
- Experience with writing multi-threaded code, and using the Java
concurrent collections
- Experienced with SQL, writing ad-hoc queries, with a good
understanding of database concepts
- Excellent debugging skills
- Some knowledge of UNIX/Linux shell scripting
- Strong analysis and estimation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Pluses:*
- Understanding of agile development methodology; experience working as
part of an agile team
- Strong business acumen to quickly learn new business processes and
understand how IT needs to support them
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Experience working with build, testing, and integration tools (e.g.
Ant, Maven, Jenkins, JUnit)
- Experience working with source control (svn, git)
- Experience working with large scale commerce suites (JDA Commerce,
Oracle ATG Commerce, IBM WebSphere, Hybris)
