Provides guidance and makes recommendations to development team members and management regarding application development projects, enhancements, incidents/issues, and inbound/outbound interfaces. Is responsible for full life cycle activities including analysis, design, development, test, go-live (deployment) and post go live support required for implementing application related projects, enhancements, incidents/issues, and inbound/outbound interfaces to systems. The position will coordinate and document the requirements and general design, conduct system configuration and execute tests for the projects, production support, etc. The position may also facilitate production status calls, requirements collection and prototype demonstrations, with user community and team members. The person needs to demonstrate communication experience with the user community for implementing solutions and maintaining the production system. **** * * *B. Key Responsibilities:* - Act as subject matter expert and liaison to other development teams and user communities**** - Provide guidance on solutions and mentor other development team members.**** - Gather and study business requirements related to BPM solution development.**** - Coordinate and maintain development related to break fixes and/or enhancements.**** - Research issues related to SOA practice including SOA adoption, BPM, BAM, and ESB applications and provide solution(s).**** - Work with users to trouble-shoot issues. **** - Write functional specs for production fixes and/or enhancements.**** - Perform end to end testing of fixes/enhancements - unit and integration. **** - Communicate and collaborate with others (e.g., analysts, designers, developers, operations, QA/testing team, help desk, vendors, etc.) to coordinate completion of projects.**** - Participate in all aspects of project lifecycle with a primary focus on application design and software development.**** - Prepare detailed application specifications.**** - Strong work ethic with positive attitude and demonstrated flexibility** ** - Evaluate user requests for new or modified business applications to determine feasibility, cost, time requirements and compatibility with existing systems.**** - Design high-performance, robust, high-quality, supportable and maintainable applications, employing SOA best practices and Discovery Enterprise Systems Development methodology.**** - Lead design and code reviews.**** - Provide knowledge transfer to junior developers as needed.**** - Provide production support. **** ** ** *C.
