Position : Test Automation role Duration : 3-6 month Location : Medway,MA
Description : Responsible for developing and executing software quality assurance procedures that will ensure the delivery of high quality products. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: " Build automated functional and regression tests and maintain them through the product life cycle " Develop test plans and procedures, along with detailed test cases based on product requirements " Execute functional, non-functional, regression tests, system test, performance tests on a regular basis and document results " Continually identify new automated tools and work closely with other engineers to develop testing tools and frameworks to aid in testing effort " Support software and firmware engineers by reproducing reported issues (manually or with automated test scripts) " Perform defect tracking and management " Responsible for ensuring product quality continuously improves " Contribute to improvement of design practices for development and testing. " Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED: Minimum formal education, experience and training: " Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering degree (BS CS, EE or ECE) along with 7+ years of directly applicable experience. " Proficient in scripting language (Predominantly Python/Perl or any other language) " Experience working with automation testing frameworks " Ability to develop efficient test plans from written and implicit requirements " Working knowledge of object-oriented programming techniques to enable creation of subsystem test cases " Strong understanding of SDLC and testing lifecycle " Solid analytical and communication/interpersonal skills required. " Must have good balance of theoretical and practical experience and must be "hands on" in a product development environment " Familiar with configuration management, bug tracking tools and test case management systems " Excellent time-management and multitasking skills Preferred education, experience and training: " Exposure to embedded real-time software design. " Track record of delivering high quality software systems " Experience testing products with rich Graphical User Interface " Experience testing audio, video and / or mobile applications " Experience with test driven development " Familiar with Open Source Software development models " Familiarity with agile, iterative software development methodologies *Provide the Below Required Information Needed by the client :* *1.
