Nomura is one of the world’s leading firms in the investment banking and
securities arena, providing a full service to corporate and institutional
clients, and to financial intermediaries. Headquartered in Japan, it is in
a significant period of growth in the US as it builds out the Wholesale
Division to develop a significant global presence. This is being undertaken
during an unprecedented period of Regulatory change (DFA, EMIR, FATCA
etc).   As a result, Corporate Technology Services (CTS) is looking for a
strong Informatica developer to help enhance strategic rules engine
platform.



The role will provide on-going Level 3 support and enhancements for
existing applications. The role entails very strong technical hands-on
knowledge and ability to provide support for production systems.



*General Qualifications*

•      Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering with total of
10+ years of experience

•      Knowledge of the securities brokerage business, preferably in
finance/accounting.

•      Working Knowledge of Peoplesoft General Ledger (GL) module would be
a plus.



*Required Technical Skills:*



•      6+ yrs as Informatica developer

•      6+ yrs as Oracle database experience

•      Proficiency in Unix shell scripting

•      Experience with Autosys or other scheduling software

•      Development of TDD working alongside BA and development team lead

•      Development of Test plan, Test scripts and Test documentation for
user review and sign off

•      Assist team lead in executing the project plan and meeting due dates

•      Assist team lead and/or own release management of the systems
developed

•      Support systems (Level 2 / Level 3) in production promptly and in a
professional manner

•      Create support documents for Level 1 support team

•      Fully versed with SDLC process including agile methodology



*Qualities:*

•           The candidate should be good team player and have a positive
outlook, with the personality to work with the development committee as
well as present to business or IT senior             managers as required.

•           Good verbal and written communication skills; can liaise
effectively with both non-technical users and technical counterparts

•           Organized and detail-oriented

•           Analytical, with good problem-solving skills

•           Quick learner

•           Willing to work off-hours if needed
