*Java Flex @ NYC ( FACE TO FACE ) LONG TERM * The manager would prefer a candidate that is stronger with Java more so than anything else. Ideally the candidate should have exposure to Flex and must be willing to spend 40-50% of their time coding in Flex but Java is the main focus here. *Description* FLOW is a limit monitoring system for Global Sales and Trading. The system has a global user base spanning traders, operations officers, risk officers, desk heads, and heads of business. It serves a key regulatory purpose for monitoring end of day risk, allowing front office risk managers to define flexible limit rules to monitor various types of greeks and define the limit excess escalation workflow. The application as a whole consists of a rich web based front end UI, signoff screens as well as a back end Java calculation engine. The system currently computes 3-4M limit use numbers per day on all levels of the business hierarchy. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to design, implement, enhance, and support various aspects of the system, including key new deliverables. The position involves potential exposure to the whole breadth of Sales and Trading risk reporting, depending on the individual?s skills and desire to learn.
