Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget. Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy versus build recommendations. Has experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies. *Required*: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience and 6+ years experience leading and directing the work of others. Experience supporting medium to large applications. Good understanding of relational databases Good understanding of different thin client architectures and infrastructure layers. Strong Visual Basic (VB6), Mainframe, and SQL Server 2008 knowledge. Familiar with development tools such as text editors, source control, SQL tools. XML and related technologies (XSL, XSD, DTD, etc.). DB2, SQL databases FTP; sFTP, DB2 scripts Cobol, JCL, Procs Experience with Citrix technology; WYSE technology a plus. Familiarity with .NET technology is a plus. Strong skills in debugging and resolving a broad range of application related issues including frontend, middleware and backend.
