*Senior ETL Developer.* *Location: Charlotte, NC * *Position Type: Contract * *Need GCs/Citizens* *Job Description: * -Technical skills: Experience working in different environments, ETL experience, Strong SQL, DataStage tool experience, Teradata/NZ, Unix Scripting about 10yrs IT, Ability to work on projects independently (some projects will be small enough for 1 developer so we need someone who can rely on his/her own skills) -Other skills: Highly Professional, Outstanding Communication skills, Experience working with business folks directly (Customer service), Presentation skills (will have to provide ongoing support to users learning DataStage and ETL best practices), multi-tasking/self-organized, out-of-the box thinker, quick learner with good analytical skills *Job Description:* -We are currently seeking a Senior ETL Developer for our Informatics and Technology Services unit. -The senior developer (computer programmer or coder) is responsible for writing and advising member on writing code as part of the implementation process. -This position will work with a small implementation team to assure database and software is deployed to customer based on project implementation timeline and working with the implementation project manager. -This position will support members to design, code, repair, enhance, integrate, upgrade, convert, provide level-2 support, and administer application software, and middleware. -Responsibility includes providing support on development tools as member/clients have follow up questions from training. -Work is performed within guidelines set by management regarding the development life cycle, version control, source code control, documentation, unit testing, code verification, code deployment, and team collaboration. *Key Accountabilities:* -Provide SME on application and data to other teams -Develop high-quality code (code and unit test) -Develop deliverable for member review/QA (code and unit test) -Contributed to the development approach for coding review, analyze and collaborate with customer to fully understand requirement and deploy any additional tools customer needs these to develop. -Support for report provisioning and potentially load testing may be necessary. -Contribute to the development of data approach for coding understand data guidelines and understand data sources available; what is new based on requirements; and how the project will impact the Joint Data Model (JDM) or other common data stores -Provide mentoring and coaching to customers -Interface with both customer and other internal teams -Support migration of new code into customer PCE environments as well as migration of new data sets -Support development UAT Environment Support -Estimate work effort; and verify approach and estimates with supervisor and team -Develop approach for coding and provide integral input review, analyze and collaborate with Business Analyst and development teams to fully understand requirement Perform system administration tasks for nonproduction environments. Perform complex administration tasks. -Works closely with Environments team for implementation of member environment stand up. -Provides lead support to associate developers and developers with coding and level-3 support service ticket tracking, problem analysis, troubleshooting, problem recreation, and root cause analysis. -Scope includes code and infrastructure issues where collaboration with cross functional services (Performance Engineering, Server, Data Storage, database, Network, and Common Services) is required.
