*Please send suitable profiles.* *SAP BPC Consultant - Clear Lake, Texas - 6 mons+* We are in need of a BPC resource with the following qualifications to start as soon as possible and extending through the end of January 2015. · Total of 5 to 7 years of SAP EPM/BPC 10 NW experience is required · Experience in Statutory Reporting is required · Experience in Property & Casualty and Life Insurance Statutory Reporting is preferred · Experience in Revenue/Expense Planning and Forecasting is a plus · Experience in GAPP Reporting (including Income Statements and Balance Sheets) is a plus · Must have excellent communication skills and be experienced in interacting with key business users and management · Must have experience gathering business requirements, validating design and testing applications and reports with business users · Must be able to understand business needs and translate them into data models, integrations, logic, reports, input templates and calculations The secondary need we have is someone who understands how EPM/BPC 10 interacts with the mainframe (z/OS) DB2 database. We are spending a great deal of time discussing things that affect the performance of the reports, consolidations, data loads, process chains and other BPC processes being run. Some of the concepts include such topics as RUNSTATS, table indexes, table partitioning, Lite Optimization, SQL statements generated behind the scenes by BPC, database reorgs, BPC settings, DB2 settings, overall system utilization, etc. For example we can run a particular report or process many times and then all of the sudden the same report or process takes 30 minutes to complete. We have our BPC development team working with our Basis and DBA teams and are also reaching out to SAP and IBM but all of this is very time consuming and is interfering with the BPC team’s ability to work on developing the cubes and reports we are required to deliver by mid-January.
