Please consider the 4021 is constructed for closemiking with all the
consequences. It is the miniature version of the 4011, which has linear
LF response at 30 cm distance. At 1 m distance it is app. 10 dB(!) down
at 50 Hz, more so at bigger distances. Also look at the equivalent input
noise of app. 20 dBA, wich again is ok for closemiking.
For comparison, a good lavalier mic has 23 dBA selfnoise, which is ok
for its intended use, but too much for bigger distances.
