Just on the jungle aspect, according to the manual the Soundfield
ST350 has built in heating elements to help deal with condensation
issues, which may be useful in high humidity jungle situations. I
don't have an ST350 myself, so I'm speaking purely theoretically.

Practically speaking, my ST350 is an early model but has had it's
caps replaced and the heater "adjusted". It gets nice and warm after
a few minutes, specially when inside a Rycote blimp. I can't say
anything about the jungle, but it coped very well with the wet misty
Dutch weather AND sub zero conditions last week.
