The trick for both Choueiri and myself was to do crosstalk cancellation without resort to HRTF filters. The principle was that the canceller should be able to be used by anybody regardless of their head size or pinna patterns. Also that it was to work with just two full range speakers with TV set like spacing. I think both RACE and BACCH achieve this. The RACE algorithm is public, the Princeton one is not. All the RACE details are to be found in the AES papers on the Ambiophonic website.
