Hi Svein,
This will be a great contribution I think and I'm impressed by the
sound of the stand-alone player on recordings made with my SPS200/
ULN8. For now though, I can't make it work in Reaper (OSX), which is
the only DAW environment I've worked in so far other than Nuendo,
that adequately supports working with 8 channels or more. I've tried
all the usual Reaper tricks for rescanning VST folders but to no
avail - it just doesn't recognize either the VST or AU versions.
If there is enough interest to justify the time
investment (remember: nobody other than users are paying for this) I
might make specialized versions for 3d playback over large loudspeaker
arrays,
As as sound designer working in exhibition environments, count me in!

Perhaps one answer to this is to offer academic pricing? This is what
Soundfield does with the main SurroundZone plug-in, as far as I
remember.
When I was considering my purchase I wanted a more portable system to
upgrade my PDAudio system.
I would suggest this is a good idea. Many companies who do this
(Flux, Cycling, Sonalksis etc) do not do so for entirely charitable
purposes, and it seems to work for them commercially.
I was wondering why Digital Performer wasn't included in your Plug-
in list?
Nobody has reported testing it yet. If you have Digital Performer,
let me
know how it works, and I'll add it to the list.
Svein
I've tried it in Digital Performer 6. I can't get it to work I'm
afraid. It approves the AU plug-in but loading it on a 5.1 track/
aux brings up a default empty plug-in window with no GUI. It's not
recognised at all on quad tracks, which is what one would use for
stereo decodes, leaving the second pair of outputs as dummies. To be
fair, I've had the same problem with Surroundzone.
All the best
David
