The 25th AES UK Conference: ‘Spatial Audio in Today’s 3D World’ is being held in conjunction with the Fourth International Symposium on Ambisonics and Spherical Acoustics. The venue will be the University of York’s Music Research Centre and

The conference will be devoted to reviewing the current state-of-the-art and recent advances in spherical acoustics with emphasis on its application to audio and music practice.

The programme will include papers, poster sessions, and technical

Ambisonics for sound scene reproduction and virtual acoustic environments
Spherical microphone array systems and signal processing
Capture and analysis of radiation patterns
Spherical acoustic holography
Synthesis of directional and focused sound sources
Spherical loudspeaker array systems and signal processing
Theoretical considerations on comparative subjective and objective studies
Standardisation, exchange, implementation and hardware issues
