Went first in 1981 and met Stan, who was delightful and informative. Went again, some years later and was the only visitor. Stan asked "have you come far?" I said "Five thousand miles" and he opened up just for me. I was already Ambisonics aware, but as Thomas says, this is something quite different and very immersive. A visit is highly recommended, although when I tried to interest the AES in a visit when there was a surround symposium in SF some years ago, I got a fairly sniffy response.
